Definition
Title I, Part A is a federal education assistance program administered through local educational agencies. Schoolwide and targeted assistance
Schoolwide programs support the school’s overall educational program. Targeted assistance supports identified eligible students. Eligibility, participation, and program type are separate fields; the meaning of a record depends on its source definition.
What this release records
K12 Atlas v2026.07 reports 45,147 positive Title I rows from EDFacts SY 2020–21. Missing rows are not negative classifications, and this positive-only slice does not establish program type for every school. A Title I flag is not a school score or an individual income measure.
